Earthly life unfolds between birth and death. At the same time, it is a mystery that begins before birth and ends neither biologically nor theologically with death. We do not give our lives to ourselves, and we are not the source of life for our offspring. All life comes from God’s hand. Moreover, the life of the individual is fundamentally linked to human and non-human life in the environment.
The church accompanies people on their life paths – both in everyday life and at important transitions. It reminds us not only that we receive from God everything we experience and have (1 Corinthians 4:7), but that we belong to Him in every moment and with all our being.
