Interreligious Cooperation

Finding common ground and learning through dialogue

For theological and historical reasons, the Protestant Church in Switzerland feels a special connection to Judaism and maintains close cooperation with the Swiss Federation of Jewish Communities (SIG).

Together they head the Protestant-Jewish Dialogue Commission (EJGK). Within the context of the Swiss Council of Religions, of cultivating relationships with Muslim communities, and as a member of the Interreligious Working Group in Switzerland (IRAS/COTIS), the PCS works for religious peace in Switzerland. It advocates openness toward people of other faiths and seeks dialogue and understanding across religious borders.
