Official dialogue between the Orthodox and Reformed Churches began in 1988. The first consultation was held in Leuenberg, Switzerland, the second, in Minsk, Belarus in 1990, with a small group meeting again in Geneva in 1991. The fruit of these three official dialogues was the signing of an “Agreed Statement between Reformed and Orthodox Churches on the Doctrine of the Holy Trinity“ in May 1992 at the Third Official Theological Consultation between Reformed and Orthodox Churches at Kappel Abbey.
